Marcelo Villavicencio

Marcelo Villavicencio is an indie musician based in Springfield, Virginia. His work is shaped by personal experience, faith, and a long-form approach to songwriting and production.

His first project, Independent Study, was inspired by a self-directed high school course of the same name and was released on August 30, 2024. The project later evolved into Independent Study II: The Final Draft, released on September 26, 2025. Building on the themes of the original release, the follow-up moves from a philosophical perspective rooted in Catholicism toward a more personal engagement with moral uncertainty.

He plans to perform live more frequently throughout the year in the DMV area and continues working toward new releases and collaborations, both as a producer and an artist. He is open to booking opportunities and collaborations with people and partners who connect with his work.
